Welcome

Welcome to the home of 41 (City of Porirua) Squadron, Air Training Corps. 41 Squadron's current membership mainly resides in the Porirua City & Tawa regions of Wellington. We offer a challenging and varied range of activities in our training program for young men and women aged 13-18 years.

We parade on Monday nights during the school term in the TS Taupo building on the Ngati Toa Domain, in Mana. Recruiting for 2009 is under way! If you are interested in joining the Squadron has an open day on Sunday 22nd February from 10am-4pm and the Squadron headquarters. If you can't make that then turn up on Monday 23rd February from 6:30pm for the first night for new recruits, check out our recruiting section for more information.

On Saturday 13th December 41 Squadron held it's Final Parade and Prize Giving Ceremony for 2008. For futher details check out the Final Parade section and the photos.

The Unit Routine Orders for Monday 1st December 2008 are available for download (103kb).

On Sunday 30th November 41 Squadron took part in the Ffennell Commonwealth Shooting Competition. We entered one team which has a provisional score of 1130 out of 1600. WO Peach has a provisional top score of 181. The team was:

  • National NZCF Shooting Competition (Lady Islington Challenge Cup) = 2nd
  • National ATC Shooting Competition (Wallingford Cup) = 2nd & 9th
  • Central Area NZCF Shooting Competition (Bolton Rifle Shooting Trophy) = 1st
  • Wellington Area ATC Shooting Competition (Bolt Shield) = 1st
  • Commonwealth Shooting Competition (Ffennell Trophy) = 3rd in NZ
